Code Geass Announces Major 20th Anniversary Exhibition

The Code Geass franchise is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a brand-new exhibition that will tour Japan later this year, showcasing two of the series’ most important stories.
Created to commemorate the franchise’s milestone anniversary in 2026, the exhibition will spotlight Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion alongside the newest chapter in the long-running saga, Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture.

The event’s newly revealed main visual has been specially illustrated for the exhibition by Yuriko Chiba, the main animator of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, together with Shuichi Shimamura, character designer and main animator for Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture.

Visitors can expect an exhibition celebrating two decades of the franchise’s history while exploring the stories connected through the mysterious Power of Absolute Obedience known as Geass.
First launched in 2006 with the 25-episode television series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, the franchise quickly became one of anime’s defining mecha dramas before expanding with the 25-episode sequel Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 in 2008 and numerous subsequent projects.

The latest installment, Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture, continued the universe with a brand-new story, making this anniversary exhibition a celebration of the series’ legacy whilst simultaneously looking towards its future.

The venue will operate daily from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with final admission available 30 minutes before closing.
On the final day of the Tokyo event, October 12, the exhibition will close early at 5:00 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m..

The Osaka venue will follow at Space Gratus on the third floor of the Animate Osaka Nipponbashi Annex from November 6 through December 7, 2026.
Opening hours in Osaka will run from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.
