Bandai Spirits Announces METAL BUILD EXPO as Exclusive Hi-Nu Gundam Fully Revealed

Bandai Spirits has announced that it will host a standalone event titled “METAL BUILD EXPO” starting this spring.
The exhibition is dedicated to the “METAL BUILD” brand, a line of pre-painted action figures that fuses heavy die-cast metal construction with complex design arrangements.

The event is scheduled to run from March 27 through July 6 at the TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO in Akihabara.

To commemorate the opening of this exhibition, the company has unveiled a special edition figure based on the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise.
The “METAL BUILD Hi-ν Gundam [METAL BUILD EXPO]” recreates the iconic mobile suit piloted by Amuro Ray in the novel Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchika’s Children.

This specific iteration features a renewed coloring scheme based on blue, distinguishing it from previous releases.

The figure captures the imposing silhouette of the machine with its “Fin Funnels” arranged like wings on its back.

New to this release are specialized funnel joint parts that allow collectors to display the funnels mounted on a single side, paying homage to the standard ν Gundam design.

The figure comes equipped with a full arsenal, including the Beam Rifle, New Hyper Bazooka, and Beam Sabers.

It also features a separation mechanism for the propellant tanks, allowing the mobile suit to be displayed in a lighter, stripped-down state.

The “METAL BUILD Hi-ν Gundam [METAL BUILD EXPO]” is priced at 39,600 yen (approx. $275.00 USD / £215.00 GBP) and is scheduled for release in March.

Sales will be conducted through the Club Tamashii Members (CTM) service, starting with a priority pre-sale for “Ocean Stage” members or higher on January 22 at 16:00 JST.
A lottery sale open to all CTM members will follow on January 27 at 16:00 JST.
