Payday: Aces High Announced as VR Co-op Heist for SteamVR and Quest

Fast Travel Games has officially partnered with Starbreeze Entertainment to announce PAYDAY: Aces High, a new cooperative heist game built specifically for virtual reality platforms.

The title is scheduled to launch in 2026 and will be available for players on both SteamVR and Meta Quest headsets.

This new entry in the long running franchise allows up to four players to execute complex heists with the high level of immersion provided by VR technology.

Starbreeze Entertainment CEO Adolf Kristjansson noted that the series has reached over 50 million players and described Fast Travel Games as the ideal partner due to their decade of experience in the medium.

Players will take on the roles of The Aces, an elite group of criminals framed by a powerful business tycoon named Warren Jupiter.

The narrative follows the team as they seek revenge by targeting Jupiter’s most secure assets, including banks, museums, and his private penthouse.

The gameplay features four specialized characters: the Ace of Hearts serves as the Mastermind, the Ace of Clubs acts as the Ghost, the Ace of Diamonds is the Technician, and the Ace of Spades functions as the Enforcer.

Each character class offers unique strategic advantages, allowing teams to mix weapons, gadgets, and skills to suit their specific playstyle.

An expansive arsenal will be available to players, featuring a variety of firearms such as assault rifles, submachine guns, shotguns, and pistols.

In addition to traditional weaponry, heisters can utilize high-tech equipment like sentry guns and grapple hooks to navigate environments and manage security.

As players complete successful jobs, they will earn cash and reputation to unlock more advanced gear and specialized skills.

Fast Travel Games emphasized that Aces High is not a simple port of previous titles but a complete PAYDAY experience designed from the ground up for virtual reality.
