Bandai Fully Reveals New Event Exclusive METAL BUILD God Gundam Hyper Mode Figure

Bandai has fully unveiled a spectacular new METAL BUILD release for this year’s TAMASHII NATION 2026 exhibition, with Mobile Fighter G Gundam’s God Gundam receiving a dazzling Hyper Mode-inspired collector’s edition.
The new METAL BUILD God Gundam (Meikyo Shisui) was teased earlier this week and celebrates the annual collector exhibition taking place from November 13 to November 15, 2026, where the figure will debut as an event-exclusive item.

Mobile Fighter G Gundam debuted in 1994 as the first Gundam television series to move away from traditional military warfare, instead focusing on an international martial arts tournament where nations battle using powerful Mobile Fighters piloted by hand-to-hand combat specialists.

Piloted by Domon Kasshu, the God Gundam succeeds the Shining Gundam during the series and becomes capable of unleashing its full potential once Domon masters the Meikyo Shisui state, triggering the machine’s radiant Hyper Mode and dramatically increasing its combat performance.

Rather than being an entirely new sculpt, the METAL BUILD God Gundam (Meikyo Shisui) builds upon the previously released figure with an extensive premium repaint that transforms the mobile suit into its iconic golden appearance from the anime.

Different shades of metallic gold have been applied across both the armor and die-cast frame, creating greater depth while emphasizing the intricate mechanical detail throughout the figure.

The updated finish is complemented by the figure’s impressive articulation, allowing collectors to recreate many of Domon’s signature martial arts poses without sacrificing stability.

Its opening chest armor recreates the activation of Hyper Mode, while a newly designed halo effect part attaches to the backpack to reproduce the radiant energy ring seen during some of the God Gundam’s most memorable battles.

Collectors can also equip the God Slash beam sabers or recreate the devastating Bakunetsu God Finger attack using newly included translucent orange hand effect parts that capture the technique’s intense energy.

Even the dedicated display stand has received an exclusive redesign, replacing the previous colors with fiery orange-red molding and gold foil detailing that reinforces the figure’s dramatic Hyper Mode presentation.

The METAL BUILD God Gundam (Meikyo Shisui), priced at ¥39,600 (approx. $251 USD / £186 GBP), will make its debut as a TAMASHII NATION 2026 exclusive during the exhibition in Japan from November 13 to November 15, 2026.

Although Bandai has not yet announced any additional release plans, previous TAMASHII NATION exhibition exclusive METAL BUILD figures have received Premium Bandai releases shortly after the event concludes, making it possible that fans who cannot attend may receive an opportunity to purchase the figure in the future.
