Bandai Reveals First Look at New G Gundam God Gundam Hyper Mode METAL BUILD Figure
Bandai has offered fans their first glimpse of a brand-new METAL BUILD release, confirming that God Gundam Hyper Mode from Mobile Fighter G Gundam is officially on the way.
Mobile Fighter G Gundam premiered in 1994 as the first mainline Gundam television series to move away from the Universal Century timeline, replacing traditional large-scale warfare with an international martial arts tournament where nations battle using Gundams piloted by elite fighters.
The series follows Domon Kasshu as he searches for his missing brother while competing in the 13th Gundam Fight, eventually piloting the God Gundam during the latter half of the anime as he unlocks increasingly powerful techniques and abilities.
The newly teased METAL BUILD figure recreates the God Gundam in its iconic Hyper Mode, the form achieved after Domon masters the Meikyo Shisui state and fully synchronizes his fighting spirit with the mobile fighter’s Energy Multiplier System.
When Hyper Mode is activated, the God Gundam’s entire body radiates a brilliant golden glow while the six energy fins on its backpack expand into a halo-like formation, dramatically increasing the machine’s combat performance.
This upgraded state also allows Domon to unleash some of the series’ most memorable attacks, including the devastating Bakunetsu God Finger, which channels enormous amounts of energy into a single strike.
Based on the first preview images, the METAL BUILD God Gundam Hyper Mode builds upon the previously released standard version by replacing much of the exterior with an eye-catching combination of metallic gold paint and gold-plated parts to recreate its appearance from the anime.
The release also includes an impressive golden halo effect that attaches behind the backpack, giving the figure an even more dramatic display presence while faithfully capturing one of the God Gundam’s defining visual moments.
Bandai has been particularly focused on creating high-end Gundam collectibles lately, having recently revealed two new premium METAL ROBOT SPIRITS figures based on Gundam SEED FREEDOM, with the Z’Gok (SEED FREEDOM Ver.) and Cavalier Aifrid allowing fans to recreate one of the movie’s standout combinations.
Bandai Spirits has not yet announced pricing or pre-order information for the METAL BUILD God Gundam Hyper Mode, with further details expected to be revealed at a later date.
