BANDAI confirms release date schedule for August 2025’s new Gunpla
Bandai Spirits has revealed the release schedule for August 2025’s Gundam model kits.
This month’s new Gunpla kits feature a wide array of new and exclusive items from across the franchise’s history.
The releases are spread across general retail stores, the exclusive Premium Bandai online shop, and the official Gundam Base retail locations.
The general retail releases for the month include several new High Grade and Master Grade SD kits:
This kit from the anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is scheduled for release on Saturday, the 2nd of August, for 2,530 yen (approx. $15.88 USD / £11.82 GBP).
- HG 1/144 Galluss-J
This classic Neo Zeon mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ will be released on Friday, the 8th of August, for 2,750 yen (approx. $18.51 USD / £13.83 GBP).
- MGSD Gundam Aerial
The protagonist’s mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury gets a new release in the Master Grade SD line, which combines high detail with a chibi-style form.
It will be released on Saturday, the 23rd of August, for 4,290 yen (approx. $28.89 USD / £21.58 GBP).
The Premium Bandai “Hobby Online Shop” will also be shipping a number of exclusive items throughout the month:
A special color variant of the Destiny Gundam from the recent film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom, priced at 2,970 yen (approx. $20.00 USD / £14.94 GBP).
A Master Grade version of Dearka Elthman’s custom ZAKU Phantom, also from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom, for 5,390 yen (approx. $36.29 USD / £27.12 GBP).
A unique Real Grade Zaku II featuring a color scheme and markings inspired by the virtual singer Hatsune Miku, as part of a special collaboration, priced at 3,850 yen (approx. $25.92 USD / £19.37 GBP).
A new variant of the Messer from the film Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash, priced at 3,740 yen (approx. $25.18 USD / £18.82 GBP).
Finally, the official Gundam Base stores will be releasing two new store-exclusive kits:
- HG Gundam Base Limited Medd
A new High Grade kit of the Med mobile worker from Char’s Counterattack, priced at 2,200 yen (approx. $14.81 USD / £11.07 GBP).
A special, clear-color version of the Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility, exclusive to the Gundam Base Fukuoka location, which will be released on Friday, the 8th of August, for 4,400 yen (approx. $29.63 USD / £22.14 GBP).
Pre-orders for several other Gunpla kits due for release later in the year have also recently opened, including a new Gundam Naion kit and re-releases of Gundam Lfrith Anavata and Gundam Lfrith Jiu from Mobile Suit Gundam – The Witch from Mercury: Vanadis Heart.
