Azur Lane announces new Atelier Yumia collaboration

Yostar has officially announced a new collaboration event for its popular mobile game, Azur Lane, this time partnering with the world of the Atelier RPG series.
The new crossover will feature characters and themes from the latest entry in that franchise, Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land.

Azur Lane is a side-scrolling shoot ’em up that reimagines historical warships from around the world as powerful female characters, known as “ship-girls”.

The Atelier series, developed by Gust, is a long-running line of role-playing games celebrated for its charming characters, slice-of-life stories, and deep item-crafting systems based on alchemy.

This marks the second time the two franchises have crossed over.
In November 2022, Azur Lane held a successful collaboration event with Atelier Ryza 2 and 3, which were the most commercially successful titles in the Atelier series’ history and are being re-released as part of the Atelier Ryza Secret Trilogy Deluxe Pack.

That previous event introduced the characters Ryza, Klaudia, Patricia, Kala, Lila, and Serri as new, playable ship-girls in the world of Azur Lane.
It also featured a range of themed cosmetic skins for the new characters.
Based on the precedent set by the last event, fans can likely expect Yumia and other characters from her game to appear as limited-time collectible units.

The Atelier Yumia collaboration was first teased as part of the Azur Lane 8th anniversary live stream earlier this year, which also revealed that the previous Atelier Ryza event would receive a re-run, giving players another chance to acquire those characters.

This type of crossover, which brings together two popular but thematically different game series, is a common and effective way for mobile games to generate excitement and re-engage their player base.

The specific characters who will be featured in the Atelier Yumia collaboration, as well as the event’s start date, have not yet been made public.
Further details are expected to be announced during a special broadcast at 20:00 JST on July 21st, which can be watched on YouTube:
