ANA follows Japan Airlines and adds Gundam to their in-flight entertainment

Two major films from the iconic anime franchise Mobile Suit Gundam are now available as part of the in-flight entertainment selection on All Nippon Airways (ANA) flights.
This move is part of a growing trend that sees major global airlines partnering with popular anime brands to expand their entertainment offerings for passengers.

Earlier this month, a similar partnership was announced between the anime streaming giant Crunchyroll and the U.S.-based Delta Air Lines, which will bring a curated selection of anime to its flights.

This was followed by Japan Airlines (JAL) adding episodes of the classic Mobile Suit Gundam anime to its own service.

The new offering from All Nippon Airways brings two of the most recent and successful entries in the long-running pop culture property to its domestic and international flights.
Passengers can now watch the hit film, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM via ANA’s in flight entertainment system.

This movie, released in early 2024, was a massive box office success and has become the highest-grossing film in the history of the Gundam franchise.
The second title available is Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-.

This is a compilation film that serves as an introduction to the latest television series in the franchise, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, which has been praised for its fresh take on the classic Gundam formula.
These new partnerships by major international carriers like ANA, JAL, and Delta highlight the increasing recognition of anime as a premiere form of global entertainment, on par with blockbuster movies and popular television shows.
