Xbox Series Version of Forever Skies and ‘The Final Echoes’ Update Arriving July 27

Developer Far From Home has announced that the Xbox Series version of the science fiction survival game Forever Skies will launch on July 27, 2026.

This release will coincide with a major free content update titled The Final Echoes, which is set to arrive across all platforms on the same date.

Forever Skies originally debuted in Early Access for PC via Steam on June 22, 2023, and later saw a full release for PlayStation 5 and PC on April 14, 2025.

The upcoming update serves as the conclusion to a series of community driven developments and introduces a variety of new features, including a complete overhaul of the airship damage system and a new electricity system for the player vessel.

Players can expect additional side quests that explore the history of the world, new combat encounters with fresh enemies, and unique landmarks to discover within the environment.

The update also adds extensive custom difficulty settings, new airship tools, and various decorative items to allow for deeper customization of the player’s mobile base.

Pre orders for the Xbox Series version are currently available on the Microsoft Store, offering 72 hours of early access ahead of the official July 27 release.

Those who choose to pre order will also receive the official Support Pack, containing four exclusive cosmetic decoration items for their airship.

The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer showcased during the Future Games Show Summer Showcase on June 6, 2026.
