Sailor Moon Celebrates Its Most Iconic Couple with New Matching Necklace Set
Image by Charlotte DavisOne of Sailor Moon’s most beloved relationships is being celebrated with a new official necklace set inspired by the special bond between Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus.
The “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Neptune & Uranus Best Friend Necklace Set” features two matching gold-plated necklaces, each carrying a miniature version of one of the Guardians’ legendary Talismans.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon first debuted as a manga by Naoko Takeuchi in 1991 before becoming one of the most influential magical girl anime series of the 1990s.
The story follows Usagi Tsukino as she discovers her identity as Sailor Moon and joins forces with other Sailor Guardians to protect Earth from powerful supernatural threats.
Sailor Neptune, whose civilian identity is Michiru Kaiou, and Sailor Uranus, known as Haruka Tenou, are introduced as members of the Outer Sailor Guardians during the Sailor Moon S storyline.
Unlike the Inner Sailor Guardians, the pair initially pursue their own mission, working closely together to locate the mysterious Talismans needed to prevent an approaching catastrophe.
Their relationship has remained one of the franchise’s most celebrated romances, with Haruka and Michiru sharing a deep emotional connection that continues across later anime adaptations and manga storylines.
The new necklace set pays tribute to that bond through two important items associated with the pair, Sailor Neptune’s Deep Aqua Mirror and Sailor Uranus’ Space Sword.
Both objects are among the three sacred Talismans introduced during Sailor Moon S, alongside Sailor Pluto’s Garnet Orb, and play an important role in the search for the Holy Grail.
The first necklace features a miniature version of Neptune’s Deep Aqua Mirror, complete with its circular mirror shape and ornate detailing.
The second takes its inspiration from Uranus’ Space Sword, transforming the weapon into a matching pendant that can be worn alongside its counterpart or shared with someone special.
Both necklaces feature gold-colored plating over a zinc alloy construction, with each chain measuring approximately 40.6 cm and including an additional 7.6 cm extender for adjusting the fit.
The two-piece set is marketed as matching friendship jewelry, allowing fans to share the Talismans with a partner, best friend, or someone else they feel a close connection with.
Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus have also appeared in several other official merchandise releases during 2026, including a limited-edition FiGPiN collection dedicated to the Outer Sailor Guardians for New York Comic Con.
That collection features Neptune and Uranus alongside Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn, with just 500 deluxe five-piece box sets planned for production.
Hot Topic has also expanded its selection of official Sailor Moon accessories this year, recently introducing a Cosmic Heart Compact-inspired hair pin and a matching bracelet collection featuring the five Inner Sailor Guardians.
