UNIQLO unveils “Doraemon & Louvre Museum UT” T-shirts that blend classic anime and iconic art

UNIQLO has officially launched its latest UT collection, “Doraemon & Louvre Museum”.
This unique collaboration brings together the beloved characters from the iconic Japanese anime series Doraemon with the timeless masterpieces housed within the world renowned Louvre Museum in Paris, France.

UNIQLO’s UT collections are celebrated worldwide for their ability to transform popular culture, art and graphic design into accessible and stylish t-shirts.
The brand frequently collaborates with various franchises, artists, and cultural institutions, offering fans unique ways to express their interests through apparel.
An example of this is another UT collection that also launched today, which is based around the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Doraemon, created by Fujiko F. Fujio, is one of Japan’s most enduring and universally cherished anime and manga franchises.
The series follows the adventures of Doraemon, a robotic cat from the 22nd century, who travels back in time to help a young boy named Nobita Nobi with his everyday struggles using various futuristic gadgets.

The “Doraemon & Louvre Museum” UT collection features four designs that mash up Doraemon and his friends – Nobita, Shizuka, Suneo, and Gian – with artworks that can be seen at the Louvre.
The four designs include:
Doraemon & Louvre Museum UT WHITE1

This iconic image playfully places the Doraemon and Nobita in front of Leonardo da Vinci’s world-famous portrait, creating a charming scene of classic and modern icons meeting.

Doraemon & Louvre Museum UT GRAY

A design that humorously swaps the subject of Vermeer’s masterpiece “The Astronomer” with Doraemon.

Doraemon & Louvre Museum UT WHITE2

This design features Doraemon sculpting mini-figures of Nobita, Shizuka, Suneo, and Gian based on the Winged Victory of Samothrace sculpture.

This collaboration is expected to appeal to a broad audience, from Doraemon fans of all ages to art enthusiasts looking for a unique and playful way to celebrate culture.
