Two new Kirby’s Air Rider amiibo confirmed for launch day

A new line of amiibo figures has been announced for the upcoming racing game Kirby’s Air Rider.
Two different amiibo figures were announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation held on the 12th of September – “Kirby & Warp Star” and “Bandana Waddle Dee & Wing Star.”

A unique, interactive gimmick has been revealed for these new figures.
The rider (Kirby or Bandana Waddle Dee) and their vehicle (the Warp Star or the Wing Star) are separate, detachable pieces.

This allows players to physically swap the riders and the vehicles, and the game will recognize and reflect these custom combinations.

A full dedicated presentation for Kirby’s Air Rider was shown back in August, which revealed the first in-depth gameplay footage and confirmed that the game will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 on the 20th of November, 2025.

In addition to the new amiibo, it was also announced that a “Kirby’s Air Rider Direct Part 2” presentation will be broadcast in the future, which will reveal even more information about the highly anticipated game.

The latest Nintendo Direct presentation also featured a major double announcement for the Super Mario franchise.
A new animated film, “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” was confirmed for an April 2026 release, and a new Nintendo Switch game, “Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2,” was announced for an October 2nd release.

The two new Kirby’s Air Rider amiibo figures are scheduled to be released on the same day as the game on November 20th, 2025.
