The Eternal Life Of Goldman Joins Game Pass Day One with Xbox Series Demo Available Now

Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Weappy have officially announced that the hand-drawn 2D platforming adventure The Eternal Life of Goldman will launch on Xbox Game Pass as a day one title in 2026.
The announcement was featured during the Xbox Partner Preview Showcase on March 26, 2026, where the teams confirmed the game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.

To coincide with this news, a playable demo has been released specifically for Xbox Series consoles, allowing players to experience the unique mechanics of the protagonist, Goldman.

Goldman is an unconventional hero who utilizes a versatile cane to navigate a vibrant archipelago and defeat enemies through various utility-based actions.

The latest gameplay trailer showcases the cane’s multifunctional capabilities, including its use as a tool for high-reaching jumps, a grappling device for pulling objects, a phosphorus flash for utility, and a protective shield.

This title marks a significant collaboration between THQ Nordic and Weappy, emphasizing a meticulously crafted visual style that defines the side-scrolling experience.

While a specific release date beyond the 2026 window has not been set, the day one inclusion on Game Pass ensures that subscribers can access the full version immediately upon its debut.

The development team encourages interested players to download the new Xbox Series demo today to get a first look at the platforming challenges and hand-drawn environments.
