Stranger Than Heaven Confirms January 2027 Release as Rap Legend Tupac Joins Cast

Publisher SEGA and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that the action-adventure title STRANGER THAN HEAVEN is scheduled to launch on January 15, 2027.

The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.

Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass will also have access to the title on its release date of January 15, 2027..

A significant highlight of the announcement is the inclusion of the late rapper Tupac Shakur as a character named Amaru.

This portrayal is being developed in close collaboration with his estate, Amaru Entertainment, using archival footage and photographs instead of artificial intelligence.

Other notable cast members include Snoop Dogg and his son Cordell Broadus, alongside Takashi Ukaji, Yasukaze Motomiya, Takaya Kuroda, and Kohei Tsuji.

The official theme song features contributions from Snoop Dogg, Satoshi Fujihara, Ado, and Tori Kelly, who also portray characters within the game.

Digital pre-orders are currently open for standard and deluxe editions, while physical versions include a collector’s edition featuring a 12-inch vinyl record and a SteelBook case.

RGG Studio Head Masayoshi Yokoyama confirmed these details during a stage presentation at Summer Game Fest 2026.
