Square Enix Opens Pre-orders for Sephiroth Structure Arts Figure Based on His Classic 1997 Design

Square Enix is preparing to release a new action figure of Sephiroth, the legendary antagonist of the iconic RPG Final Fantasy VII.
The new Sephiroth figure will be part of the “Structure Arts” line, bringing the character’s original 1997 design to the action figure series.

Released on the original PlayStation, Final Fantasy VII revolutionized the role-playing genre with its transition to 3D graphics and its complex narrative involving the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE.

Central to this story is Sephiroth, a former SOLDIER First Class who descends into madness upon discovering the dark secrets of his origins, eventually becoming a threat to the entire planet.

This new figure is a faithful recreation of Sephiroth’s appearance from that original PlayStation era, translating the classic character design into a fully articulated 3D format that captures the nostalgia of the 90s masterpiece.

The sculpt features a high level of detail that captures his distinct silhouette, including his trademark long silver hair and black leather trench coat, allowing for dynamic poses that range from quiet, menacing postures to intense combat scenes.

A wide selection of accessories is included, most notably his signature “Masamune” katana, which boasts an immensely long blade that can be posed to flow behind him, mimicking his intimidating presence in the game.

The set also comes with an alternate, interchangeable face part and a variety of different hand parts for holding the weapon, allowing collectors to recreate specific scenes from the game’s most memorable moments.

The “Final Fantasy VII Structure Arts Sephiroth” is priced at 8,800 yen (approx. $60.00 USD / £47.00 GBP).
The figure is scheduled to be released on Saturday, May 30, 2026, and will be available for pre-order starting from January 23, via the Square Enix e-STORE.
