Square Enix has re-opened pre-orders for its popular soft vinyl figure of Cloud Strife, which is based on his appearance in the original Final Fantasy VII.

The original 1997 PlayStation game was a landmark title in the history of role-playing games, renowned for its epic story, its memorable characters, and its at-the-time revolutionary use of 3D graphics.

The game famously used two different graphical styles for its characters: highly detailed, more realistically proportioned models for the combat sequences, and cute, deformed, low-polygon models for exploring the game’s towns and world map.

This unique collectible is a nostalgic recreation of that low-polygon, “blocky” in-world character model.

The “Polygon Sofubi” figure is designed to be a faithful, three-dimensional representation of that iconic, deformed art style that millions of players first experienced.

The product is a soft vinyl, or “sofubi,” figure, a classic style of Japanese toy known for its durable and nostalgic feel.

While primarily a static piece, the figure does feature a limited number of articulation points in its arms, waist, and ankles, which allows for some simple posing.
