Sprint City Launches In Early Access

Second Stage Studio officially launched Sprint City into Early Access for PC via Steam on March 31, 2026.

The game is a movement-focused shared world competitive 2D platformer created by the developers behind SpeedRunners.

At launch on March 31, 2026, the title is priced at $11.99, though a 20 percent discount reduces the cost to $9.59 until April 14, 2026.

The current Early Access version is described as fully playable with core mechanics already implemented.

Throughout the Early Access period, Second Stage Studio plans to expand the game with more modes, multiplayer options, and a larger city environment to increase replayability.

Set in a solarpunk city where on-foot travel is the primary means of transportation, the game emphasizes speed, flow, and mastery.

The shared world technology allows players to connect seamlessly with others while maintaining links with their party members during exploration.

Game owners have the ability to invite friends to play for free as guests via a web browser to participate in time-based challenges.

Key features of the experience include tight parkour controls for wall-running and grappling to maintain momentum through urban districts.

Players can explore various routes and shortcuts to climb global leaderboards or customize their characters with unlockable gear.

The release is supported by a high-tempo original soundtrack and a new launch trailer released on March 31, 2026.
