Spook-A-Boo: Ghost Hunting Co-Op Adventure Announced for Consoles And PC

Soft Source Publishing and New Delhi-based developer Wala Interactive have officially announced Spook-A-Boo, a new ghost-hunting cooperative adventure game.

The title is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in 2026.

Players interested in a first look can download a PC demo available now through the Steam platform.

Wala Interactive producer and co-founder Megha Gupta described the project as a tribute to the era of couch multiplayer, where friends gathered around a single television.

The game supports one to four players and features 28 levels spanning four themed worlds.

The core gameplay involves using high-tech devices such as detectors, scanners, hooks, and traps to capture ghosts like Normie, Doughy, and Zappy.

Soft Source Publishing director Sameer Pandit noted that the game aligns with the company’s goal of bringing the best Asian developed titles to a global audience.

Local multiplayer enthusiasts should note that additional controllers are required to participate in the couch co-op mode.

An official announcement trailer has been released to showcase the wacky dimensions and cooperative obstacles players will face.

The development team aims to deliver a family-friendly experience that emphasizes both teamwork and lighthearted competition.
