Shiotaio No Sato-San Ga Ore Ni Dake Amai Anime References Humanity Has Declined in New Collab Video

A new special collaboration video has been released for the upcoming television anime adaptation of the romantic comedy light novel series Shiotaio no Sato san ga Ore ni Dake Amai.
The video pays tribute to the 2012 television anime Humanity Has Declined by recreating its well known opening animation dance sequence.

Voice actor Miku Ito, who provides the voice for the lead heroine Koharu Sato, performs a cover of the song Real World for the collaboration.
The musical track was originally recorded by the band nanoRIPE and served as the opening theme for the Humanity Has Declined series.
Both light novel properties are published in Japan by Shogakukan under their Gagaga Bunko imprint.

The television anime for Shiotaio no Sato san ga Ore ni Dake Amai is scheduled to begin its broadcast in Japan during the year 2026.
The project is being produced at Tezuka Productions with Fumio Yoshimura serving as the director.
Takashi Aoshima is handling the series composition while Daisuke Okushima is responsible for character designs and Shun Narita is composing the music.

The original story follows a high school student named Sota Oshio who discovers that his classmate Koharu Sato is actually socially awkward rather than cold.
The light novel series written by Kazami Sawatari first launched on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in June 2019 and has since released 12 print volumes.
The official announcement for the anime adaptation and the reveal of the main staff occurred on March 18, 2026.
