Shikhondo: Blue Pieta Introduces Main Cast Details

Publisher CFK and developer DeerFarm have shared new details regarding the major characters in their upcoming title Shikhondo: Blue Pieta on March 30, 2026.
The game marks a significant shift for the series by transitioning to a side-scrolling shoot ’em up format for the first time.

While previous entries in the Shikhondo series utilized vertical layouts, this new installment introduces a fresh perspective to the established bullet hell gameplay.

The character roster includes the protagonist Layla, a vampire hunter voiced by Yoshino Aoyama, who has lived through many identities over her long history.

Layla is joined by Chae Woori, a twenty-three-year-old rookie grim reaper voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa, who previously worked with the character Gangrim to seal escaped yokai.

The announcement also introduced Sister Maria, voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro, who serves as the first human boss in the history of the franchise.

The development team noted that Maria represents a new direction for the series, as every prior boss has been a supernatural creature or a yokai.

Shikhondo: Blue Pieta is scheduled for a release on PC via Steam and Stove in the first half of 2026.

Console versions for the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Switch 2 are expected to follow the initial PC launch at a later date.
