Office Themed Re:Zero Dating Sim Announced in New Trailer

The production team behind the hit anime “Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World” has announced a brand-new otome game titled “Re:Zero – Starting Office Life in Another World”.
The newly revealed game features an original scenario written by the series creator, Tappei Nagatsuki, moving the fantasy cast into a modern corporate setting.

The Re:Zero franchise is widely known for its dark “isekai” narrative, where protagonist Subaru Natsuki is transported to a magical world and gains the ability to rewind time upon death.
This new project reimagines the popular male characters as colleagues in a professional environment, trading high-stakes battles for office politics and romance.
Players take on the role of a career-driven woman who has been scouted for a prestigious new business project.
The story follows the heroine as she navigates her daily workload while building deep emotional connections with six distinct male leads.
The game features fully voiced dialogue for the following characters:
- Subaru Natsuki
- Role: Sales Representative

As the player’s energetic contemporary, he brings a determined spirit to the sales floor.

- Otto Suwen
- Role: Senior Engineer

A reliable and experienced technician who provides essential support during complex technical tasks.

- Garfiel Tinsel
- Role: Junior Employee

The youngest member of the team, known for his rough exterior and surprisingly diligent work ethic.

- Reinhard van Astrea
- Role: Public Relations

The charismatic face of the company who handles high-profile communications with ease.

- Julius Juukulius
- Role: Executive Secretary

An elegant and precise professional who manages the demanding schedules of the upper management.

- Ferris (Felix Argyle)
- Role: Receptionist

The charming first point of contact for the office, welcoming visitors with a playful attitude.

The newly released promotional video showcases various interaction scenes, highlighting the unique relationship the player shares with each coworker:
Fans of the series can enjoy seeing their favorite characters in suits and ties, a significant departure from their traditional medieval fantasy attire.
The Re:Zero anime remains one of the most successful properties in the light novel industry, with multiple seasons and spin-offs expanding its lore.

This latest entry aims to capture a different demographic by leaning into the popular “office romance” subgenre of otome games.
For fans looking forward to the game after viewing the promotional materials, there does appear to be one major problem; the official announcement was released on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
The production committee has formally confirmed since the trailer’s release that this new “Office Life” project is a limited-time promotional campaign created exclusively for April Fools’ Day 2026.
