Shikhondo: Blue Pieta Coming to PS5, Switch 2, Switch, and PC

Publisher CFK and developer DeerFarm have officially announced Shikhondo: Blue Pieta, a new side-scrolling shoot ’em up that serves as a follow-up to previous entries Shikhondo: Soul Eater and Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage.
The game is scheduled to launch first on PC via Steam during the first half of 2025, with versions for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and the original Nintendo Switch arriving at a later date.
This latest installment marks a significant mechanical shift for the franchise by introducing a side-scrolling layout, which is a first for a series that previously utilized vertical-scrolling gameplay.
Players will experience a story involving a rookie grim reaper and a vampire hunter who meet in a city across the sea to face an unknown yokai threat.
The signature Soul Collect system returns in an evolved form, continuing to reward players with score multipliers for dodging bullets with near-miss precision.
Technical features for the PC release include support for ultra-wide resolutions up to 32:9 to accommodate modern gaming monitors.
The development team has confirmed that the title will feature full voice acting, with specific cast members to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Language support will be comprehensive at launch, including English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese options.
The announcement follows the successful release of Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage on Steam in April 2024 and on Nintendo Switch in May 2025.
Additional details regarding specific game modes and the exact release date are expected to be shared by the publisher in the near future.
