Seiko Fully Reveals New Limited-Edition Bocchi the Rock! Watch Inspired by Kessoku Band
Image by Charlotte DavisBocchi the Rock! has teamed up with Seiko for the first time for a new official watch inspired by Kessoku Band and the anime’s strong connection to music.
The “Bocchi the Rock! × Seiko Collaboration Watch” was first revealed earlier this year and is a limited-edition black and silver chronograph featuring references to Hitori Gotoh, Nijika Ijichi, Ryo Yamada and Ikuyo Kita throughout its dial, crown and caseback.

Bocchi the Rock! began as Aki Hamaji’s manga in Manga Time Kirara MAX before receiving a 12-episode anime adaptation from CloverWorks in 2022, following socially anxious guitarist Hitori as she unexpectedly becomes a member of Kessoku Band.

Hitori plays lead guitar alongside drummer Nijika, bassist Ryo, and guitarist and vocalist Kita, with much of the series following the group as they develop their music, perform live, and gradually grow closer as friends.
The anime was followed by the compilation movies “Bocchi the Rock! Re:” and “Bocchi the Rock! Re:Re:,” while a second season is currently in production at CloverWorks with Yusuke Yamamoto taking over as director.

That musical identity carries directly into the new Seiko design, beginning with a record-inspired pattern across the black dial that uses fine concentric lines to recreate the appearance of vinyl.

A guitar pick-shaped marker carrying the Kessoku Band logo replaces the conventional index at 12 o’clock.
The chronograph subdial at 6 o’clock incorporates the individual image colors associated with Hitori, Nijika, Ryo and Kita alongside the words “BOCCHI THE ROCK!”, with another Kessoku Band logo appearing on the crown.
Luminous material has been applied to the hour markers and main hands to improve visibility in darker surroundings.

The stainless-steel case measures 47 mm vertically, 39.8 mm across, and approximately 11.7 mm thick, with a matching metal bracelet designed for wrists measuring around 14.5 to 19.5 cm.
A Japanese quartz movement powers the watch with average accuracy of ±15 seconds per month and an estimated battery life of approximately three years.

The chronograph also offers 10-bar water resistance and uses curved Hardlex glass over the dial.
More references appear on the rear, where the caseback carries the Bocchi the Rock! logo, an individually assigned serial number, and Hitori’s squat Tsuchinoko of Shimokitazawa form.

Each watch is supplied inside a dedicated presentation box created for the collaboration, and production is limited to only 300 pieces.

Other collaborations have seen Bocchi the Rock! team up with major guitar manufacturers to recreate instruments played by Kessoku Band members.
Yamaha’s limited “PACIFICA611V BTR LTD” recreates Hitori’s custom black PACIFICA guitar, with production limited to approximately 650 units.

Gibson followed in 2026 with the “Ikuyo Kita Model Gibson Les Paul Jr.” and “Ikuyo Kita Model Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Les Paul Jr.,” recreating Kita’s signature instrument through two officially licensed models.

Pre-orders for the “Bocchi the Rock! × Seiko Collaboration Watch” opened through U-TREASURE in Japan on October 7 and are scheduled to remain available until November 27, although reservations may close earlier if all 300 pieces are claimed.

The watch is priced at ¥59,400 (approximately $376/£284), with shipping currently scheduled to begin around March 11, 2027.
