Cinnamoroll is getting a new collection built around all 12 months of the year, with Sanrio releasing a complete series of plush mascot keychains inspired by traditional birthstones.

The new “Cinnamoroll Birthstone Mascot Keychain” collection gives the popular Sanrio character a different look for every month, allowing fans to choose the design connected to their birthday or simply pick their favorite birthstone.

Created by Sanrio in 2001, Cinnamoroll is a white puppy known for his long ears, curled tail and ability to fly, becoming one of the company’s most popular characters and a regular winner of the annual Sanrio Character Ranking.

Cinnamoroll

Each of the new mascots keeps Cinnamoroll’s familiar appearance while introducing colors and sparkling decorative details inspired by the birthstone represented by that particular month.

January’s mascot is based on Garnet, while February follows with an Amethyst version that gives the first two releases their respective red and purple themes.

March represents Aquamarine and April switches to Diamond, creating two lighter-colored additions based around the pale blue and clear tones associated with their respective stones.

May brings Emerald into the collection with its familiar green coloring, while June represents Pearl with a softer light-colored design.

July is represented by Ruby and August by Peridot, continuing the monthly series with red and light green versions of Cinnamoroll.

September introduces Sapphire before October moves to Pink Tourmaline, giving the pair blue and pink themes based around their respective birthstones.

November’s Cinnamoroll represents Topaz, while December completes the 12-month collection with a Tanzanite design.

All 12 mascots measure approximately 13 cm tall and use embroidered and appliqué details alongside the sparkling decorations that help separate each birthstone design.

Each one is also fitted with a carabiner and push-clasp closure, allowing Cinnamoroll to be attached to a bag, backpack or other accessory as well as kept as part of a plush collection.

Sanrio Characters

Sanrio has released all 12 designs individually rather than as blind-box items, so fans can choose the exact month and birthstone they want.

Every “Cinnamoroll Birthstone Mascot Keychain” is priced at $33 (approx. £24 GBP), with all 12 monthly designs now available through Sanrio’s official US online store.
