Sanrio’s adorable fluffy ghost Hanamaruobake gets new fashion collection from Maison de FLEUR

Japanese fashion brand Maison de FLEUR has launched a new collaboration with the Sanrio character Hanamaru Obake.
The new collection of bags, pouches, and charms is being released to celebrate the character’s official birthday, which was on the 7th of August.

Maison de FLEUR is a popular brand known for its elegant and feminine designs, which often feature ribbons and frills.
Hanamaru Obake is a gentle character from Sanrio, a “good job ghost” named Marumaru who gives people a “hanamaru,” or a flower circle mark of praise, for trying their best.

This new collection combines the character’s comforting, cream-and-yellow color scheme with cherry motifs and the fashion brand’s signature design elements.
The product lineup features a total of five different items.
The full collection is as follows:
- Hanamaru Obake 2-Way Frill Handle Tote
- Price: ¥8,000

- Hanamaru Obake Square Frill Handle Tote
- Price: ¥8,800

The two tote bags feature Maison de FLEUR’s popular frilled handles and an appliqué embroidery of Marumaru with cherries.
The inner lining of the bags, and the long pouch, features a custom, all-over print of the character and cherries.

- Hanamaru Obake Long Pouch
- Price: ¥4,400

- Hanamaru Obake Round Pouch
- Price: ¥5,000

- Hanamaru Obake Charm
- Price: ¥3,700

The round pouch and the charm are made from a fluffy material designed to replicate the fluffiness of the ghostly Marumaru.
The new collection is being sold on a made-to-order basis and pre-orders for the items are now open via the official “STRIPE CLUB” e-commerce site.
The pre-order window is scheduled to remain open until the 31st of August, 2025, with the products scheduled to be delivered in early to mid-December.
