Sanrio Reveals Adorable New Pompompurin, My Melody and Kuromi Sleepwear Collection
Image by James RichardsonSanrio has teamed up with Japanese comfortwear brand Ballelite for a new collection of fluffy loungewear featuring some of its most popular characters.
The third “Ballelite × Sanrio Characters” collaboration introduces Pompompurin and Kuromi designs across two styles of cozy nightwear, with an additional My Melody and Kuromi collection also set to be released in the near future.

Ballelite was established by Japanese fashion group MASH, which operates brands including gelato pique and SNIDEL, together with underwear manufacturer Gunze, specialising in clothing that combines gentle compression with soft, comfortable materials.

The collaboration comes during Pompompurin’s 30th anniversary year, which has already seen Sanrio revive his original 1996 merchandise designs for a new collection celebrating the popular golden retriever’s history.

Another MASH Group brand, SNIDEL HOME, also released a separate Kuromi loungewear collaboration in July 2026, featuring pajamas, hoodies and matching accessories.

For this latest collection, Ballelite has created fluffy over-the-knee compression socks and high-waisted belly-warmer shorts designed for relaxing at home or wearing before bed.

The socks use a gentle graduated compression design to comfortably support the legs, with the matching shorts incorporating a soft, extended waistband to help keep the stomach warm.

Each version features illustrations of the Sanrio characters sleeping, with soft ivory chosen for Pompompurin, charcoal grey for Kuromi and pink-beige for the combined My Melody and Kuromi designs.
