Sanrio Launches New Official Medical Wear Collection with 6 Adorable Scrub Sets
Image by James RichardsonSanrio’s most popular characters are officially heading into hospitals and clinics with a new medical apparel collection created specifically for healthcare workers.
The new collection comes from Japanese medical apparel specialist Classico, pairing six Sanrio characters with their own colors across matching unisex scrub tops and pants.
Rather than covering the uniforms in large character graphics, Classico has designed the collection to fit naturally into professional medical environments, with smaller embroidered character details providing the main Sanrio references.
Classico has plenty of experience giving medical uniforms this kind of character-focused treatment, with its ongoing Pokémon collaboration recently reaching a fifth collection that introduced new Mew and Psyduck scrubs.
The Sanrio collection is part of Classico’s “Scrub Canvas Club” line, which treats medical scrubs as a base for collaborations spanning characters, artists, books, music and other areas of popular culture.
All six designs use the same medical-focused fabric, combining a smooth feel with stretch, moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties alongside anti-transparency and stain-resistant treatments, while the material is also designed to retain its shape without ironing.
The tops use a casual unisex silhouette with shoulder buttons for easier changing and a double pocket at the right waist, while the matching pants use a tapered cut and coordinating waist drawstring.
Both pieces are available from XXS through XL, allowing each character design to be worn as a complete matching uniform or mixed with other colors from the collection.

The collection is now on sale through Classico’s official online store and its stores in Marunouchi, Yokohama, Nagoya and Osaka.
Every scrub top and pair of scrub pants is priced at ¥13,090 each (approx. $84 USD / £62 GBP).
