Pokémon’s official medical wear collaboration has revealed two new scrub designs that will see Mew and Psyduck return to the collection.

The Japanese medical apparel brand Classico has unveiled the fifth wave of its ongoing Pokémon collaboration, with both Mew and Psyduck returning to receive more subdued color schemes in comparison to their previous appearance, which is designed to give the Pokémon-themed scrubs a calmer look for professional environments.

Classico first launched its Pokémon collection in 2022 with the aim of bringing some of the franchise’s familiar characters into hospitals and other medical settings, combining practical workwear with small details inspired by the games.

The collaboration also forms part of “Classico’s Scrub Canvas Club,” an ongoing project that uses medical scrubs as a base for designs inspired by art, entertainment and other creative properties.

This new fifth collection revisits two earlier designs, this time placing Psyduck on a brown base scrub and Mew on a black base scrub with pink accents.

Both designs continue Classico’s approach of incorporating Pokémon through relatively subtle embroidery and coordinated colors rather than covering the uniforms with large character graphics, allowing them to remain recognizable as professional medical wear.

The return of Mew and Psyduck expands the main lineup that continues to include scrub designs based on Pikachu, Eevee and Snorlax alongside a combined Kanto starter design featuring Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle.

Each of the scrubs uses color and embroidered details connected to its respective Pokémon, with the current versions also incorporating earlier revisions made in response to customer feedback, including moving the embroidery on the pants from the back to the front.

The collection’s “Pokémon Doctor Coat” also remains available, with its appearance in 2025’s fourth wave marking the collaboration’s first attempt at bringing its character details to the traditional white coat worn by medical professionals.

Made using a Pima cotton blend, the unisex coat keeps most of its Pokémon references hidden within a relatively understated exterior, including Poké Ball-inspired buttons, a patterned inner back lining as well as embroidered Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle shapes.
