Sanrio launches exclusive new lolita-themed My Melody and Kuromi merch line
A new collaboration has been announced between the Movic-owned illustration brand “DOLLY MIX” and the popular Sanrio characters, My Melody and Kuromi.
The new collection is based on original illustrations by the artist Natsume Miku, who has redesigned the two characters in a cute, “light blue Lolita” theme to celebrate My Melody’s 50th and Kuromi’s 20th anniversaries.
The new product line features a wide range of merchandise, including plush toys, pouches, apparel, and stationery.

A special, advance pre-sale of the new collection will be held from Friday, the 31st of October, to Thursday, the 13th of November.
This pre-sale will take place at the “My Melody & Kuromi Pastel Dreamland” pop-up store in Tokyo Station’s Ichiban Plaza, and simultaneously on the Tokyo Station Character Street Online Plaza.
A general release of some of the products is scheduled to begin at 18 KIDDY LAND locations across Japan on Friday, the 7th of November.
To celebrate the launch, a special signing event with the illustrator, Natsume Miku, will be held at the KIDDY LAND Shinjuku store on the 7th of November.
This event is limited to 15 people per session and requires a pre-registration ticket and the purchase of ¥5,500 or more of Sanrio merchandise, including at least one item from the new “DOLLYMIX” collection.
The collection will also be available to order online via the Tokyo Station Character Street Online Plaza from the 31st of October.
