Sanrio Brings Cuteness to the Course with New Hello Kitty Golf Fashion Collection and Caddy Bag
Image by James RichardsonHello Kitty is heading back to the golf course with two closely related new releases, as Sanrio launches a premium-style autumn sportswear collection alongside a separate bright red Hello Kitty caddy bag.
The larger of the two releases comes from Sanrio Sports, a sportswear and accessories line operated by Sanrio group company Sanrio Enterprise that combines character details with clothing intended to look closer to high-end golf fashion than conventional character merchandise.

Hello Kitty is the main focus of the new autumn collection, although her influence is deliberately understated across much of the clothing, with clean silhouettes, restrained colors and smaller character details designed to work as part of a regular golf or casual outfit.

That approach is especially clear on pieces such as the Zip Vest and Ponte Pants, which are both offered in simple white and black colorways and can be worn together as a coordinated look.

A tweed cap introduces a more traditional golf-inspired texture in black, pink and blue, while the Ribbon Ball Pouch turns Hello Kitty’s familiar bow into an accessory that can be carried onto the course.
The later part of the collection adds a striped CPO shirt and oversized tote, continuing the same balance between practical sportswear and character fashion without covering every piece in large Hello Kitty graphics.

Let’s take a look at the complete new Sanrio Sports autumn lineup!
- Zip Vest – ¥22,000 (approximately $141 USD / £105 GBP)

Available in white or black and offered in M and L sizes.
- Ponte Pants – ¥22,000 (approximately $141 USD / £105 GBP)

- Tweed Cap – ¥8,800 (approximately $57 USD / £42 GBP)

Available in black, pink or blue, adding a more traditional golf-inspired texture to the collection.
- Ribbon Ball Pouch – ¥7,150 (approximately $46 USD / £34 GBP)

Available in red, black or pink and shaped around Hello Kitty’s recognizable bow motif.
- 2-Way Mock Neck Shirt – ¥14,080 (approximately $90 USD / £68 GBP)

Available in blue or black as one of the collection’s later September releases.
- Big Tote – ¥14,300 (approximately $92 USD / £68 GBP)
Available in black or pink and designed as the larger bag option within the range.

- Line CPO Shirt – ¥19,800 (approximately $127 USD / £95 GBP)
Available in both black and white color options (pictured above).
Sanrio Sports is also holding its first series of dedicated pop-up stores, giving the relatively young line a larger physical retail presence across Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.
An event-exclusive hoodie will be available in black, pink and gray for ¥24,200 (approximately $155 USD / £116 GBP), with M and L sizes offered at each location.

Customers spending at least ¥20,000 (approximately $128 USD / £96 GBP) at one of the pop-ups will also receive one of two randomly selected eco bags while supplies last.

The autumn collection arrives at a time when Sanrio has been building a much stronger connection with golf, including its multi-year global partnership with the LPGA and a separate My Melody and Kuromi golf apparel collection created with Japanese brand Jack Bunny!! earlier this year.

Hello Kitty is also getting a more traditional piece of golf equipment through a completely separate release from character golf goods company M・I・N・D.
The new “Hello Kitty Caddy Bag” swaps the more restrained appearance of the Sanrio Sports clothing for a much bolder red design, with Hello Kitty’s trademark bow used repeatedly across the bag to make its character theme immediately recognizable.

That makes the two releases useful counterparts for fans who want different levels of Hello Kitty branding, with Sanrio Sports leaning toward subtle character fashion while the M・I・N・D bag is designed to stand out much more clearly on the course.

The first wave of Sanrio Sports autumn items, including the Zip Vest, Ponte Pants, Tweed Cap and Ribbon Ball Pouch, went on sale in Japan on September 9 through the official Sanrio Online Shop, with World Online Store sales beginning from September 11.
The Line CPO Shirt and Big Tote are scheduled to follow on September 25, while a separate cart bag shown alongside the collection is due to arrive on October 14.
Sanrio Sports’ first pop-up stores will begin at Shinjuku Takashimaya in Tokyo and Hankyu Umeda in Osaka from September 23 through October 6, followed by Osaka Takashimaya from October 21 through November 3 and JR Nagoya Takashimaya from November 4 through November 17.
The separate Hello Kitty Caddy Bag from M・I・N・D is already available through the company’s BASE online store, priced at ¥66,000 (approximately $424 USD / £316 GBP).
