Rusutsu Umaimon Delicious Food Festival
The Rusutsu Umaimon Delicious Food Festival is an autumn harvest celebration in the beautiful resort town of Rusutsu, Hokkaido.
The name “Umaimon Matsuri” translates to “Delicious Things Festival,” and the event lives up to its name.
It is a showcase of the rich agricultural bounty and local cuisine of the Rusutsu region.
The main highlight is the vast array of food, centered around an all-you-can-eat barbecue.
Featured dishes include seasoned domestic beef, pork jingisukan and a special whole-roasted Yotei lamb from the local Rusutsu farm.
A giant pot of Rusutsu Kogen pork soup is also a major attraction.

Confirmed artists for 2025 include the singer-songwriter Ayaka Segawa, iluxion and DJ BRAVE.

- Taking a direct bus is the most convenient way to reach Rusutsu Resort.
- From New Chitose Airport (CTS)
- Resort liner buses run directly from the airport to Rusutsu Resort, taking approximately 2 hours.
- From Sapporo City
- Direct buses, including a free shuttle called the “Rusutsu-go” (reservations required), are also available from Sapporo, also taking about 2 hours.
- By Car
- Rusutsu is easily accessible by car, located on National Route 230.
- Parking is available at the resort, but can be crowded during the festival.
- By Train
- There is no direct train access to Rusutsu Resort.
- The nearest major JR station is Kutchan, which would still require a bus or taxi transfer.
