Pre-orders open for two new limited-edition Lycoris Recoil watches
A new collaboration has been announced between the Japanese watch brand Kentex and the popular original anime series, Lycoris Recoil.
The partnership will see the release of two different, limited-edition, solar-powered watches, each themed around one of the two main protagonists.
Kentex is a domestic Japanese watch manufacturer that is known for its high-quality and durable timepieces, and it is also an official supplier of watches for the Japan Self-Defense Forces.
This new collaboration brings that military-spec quality and practical design to the world of the elite, secret-agent Lycoris.
The new collection features two different watch models, one for Chisato Nishikigi and one for Takina Inoue.
Each watch is a limited edition of 300 pieces and features an individual serial number engraved on the case back, alongside the “Direct Attack” logo.
The two new watch models are as follows:
- Chisato Nishikigi Model
- Price: ¥24,200 (approx. $165 USD / £130 GBP)
This model features a red dial inspired by Chisato’s character color.
It has the Lycoris emblem at the 12 o’clock position, a silhouette of Chisato’s gun at the 3 o’clock position, and a second hand designed to look like her non-lethal rubber bullets.
- Takina Inoue Model
- Price: ¥24,200 (approx. $165 USD / £130 GBP)
This model has a blue dial based on Takina’s color scheme.
It also features the Lycoris emblem and a silhouette of Takina’s gun, and its second hand is designed to look like one of her standard bullets.
The watches are built with a focus on practicality and durability. They are powered by a Japanese solar-quartz movement that requires no battery changes and can run for up to four months on a full charge.
They also feature 100-meter water resistance and high-visibility Super-LumiNova on the hands and indices.
A unique, playful gimmick has also been incorporated into the design.
When the second hand reaches the 15-second mark, a luminous “bullet trajectory” will glow in the dark, appearing to fire from the gun silhouette on the dial.
Pre-orders for the new “Lycoris Recoil x KENTEX Collaboration” watches are scheduled to begin on Friday, the 17th of October.
They will be available on the Kentex official online store and at the Kentex boutique in Tokyo.
