Pre-orders open as NIKKE’s “DORO” gets its own action figure

Pre-orders for a new action figure of “DORO” from the mobile game Goddess of Victory: NIKKE have officially opened.
The figure is being produced by the manufacturer Snail Shell in co-operation with AmiAmi, one of Japan’s largest hobby goods retailers.

This release is particularly significant for fans of the game, as DORO did not originate from the game’s developer, Shift Up, but was born from fan-created art and internet memes within the player community.
DORO is a mischievous, chibi-style caricature inspired by the in-game character Dorothy.

The meme grew so popular that Shift Up officially adopted it, featuring DORO in promotional materials, real-world events with giant balloons, and even as a cameo in a collaboration with the PlayStation 5 game, Stellar Blade.

The character’s journey from fan art to official mascot had a unique challenge.

The chibi head and the separate, simplified body were reportedly created by two different anonymous artists as separate memes, which later merged online.

To use DORO officially, the developer Shift Up had to embark on a search to find both original creators and secure their permission.

This new action figure marks the culmination of that unusual journey, cementing the fan-made character with a piece of official merchandise.
DORO is so popular that the character is currently in the process of a “WORLD TOUR”, which is set to visit Osaka and New York in mid-July.

The figure is highly customizable, allowing fans to recreate some of the most memorable memes featuring DORO.

It comes with two complete bodies, one in a standing pose and another in a four-legged crawling pose.

Three interchangeable face plates are included, featuring happy, sad, and smug expressions.
The set also contains multiple hand and foot parts to create various poses, such as crossed arms or propping up her face.

Accessories like a mop and a shopping bag containing an orange allow fans to recreate specific meme images and videos.

The figure stands between six and eight centimeters tall, depending on the body used.
The recommended retail price for the action figure is 4,180 yen (approx. $28.10 USD / £20.96 GBP), though AmiAmi is currently offering it at a discounted pre-order price of 3,760 yen (approx. $25.28 USD / £18.85 GBP).
The “DORO Non-scale Complete Action Figure” is scheduled to be released in November 2025.
