Pokémon Reveals 30 Different Pikachu Plushies for Huge New Anniversary Collection
Image by Charlotte DavisPikachu is getting an entire collection to himself for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, with 30 different plush charms capturing the series mascot with a wide range of expressions and personalities.
The new anniversary series consists entirely of Pikachu, with each small plush using a different face or pose, turning Pikachu’s famously expressive personality into the focus of the collection and covering everything from cheerful and energetic looks to sleepy, surprised, as well as much more mischievous expressions.
Pokémon is currently celebrating its biggest milestone year yet, marking three decades since Pocket Monsters Red and Green originally launched for the Game Boy in Japan in 1996.
Pikachu has been at the center of many of the anniversary celebrations throughout 2026, including the sparkling “Pika Pika! Pikachu” plush collection, which featured a design that incorporated a birthday ribbon and commemorative Poké Ball accessory.
The separate “Pikachu of Beginnings” range returned to the much rounder, pixel-inspired appearance associated with Pokémon’s earliest Game Boy era.
This latest 30-piece plush series takes a very different approach by emphasizing variety, effectively giving collectors a miniature Pikachu for every year being celebrated.
Its arrival on September 16 also lines up with one of the biggest dates on Pokémon’s anniversary calendar, as Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration launches on the same day around the world.
That expansion has its own 30-Pikachu concept, featuring 30 different cards illustrated by 30 artists, with one of the anniversary Pikachu cards guaranteed inside every booster pack.
Pokémon is also launching another Pikachu-heavy collectible on September 16 through its “Dream Painting 30th Anniversary Pikachu Figure Set,” which turns 13 illustrations from the anniversary TCG expansion into three-dimensional figures paired with matching foil cards.
That figure range includes 12 standard Pikachu designs and one much rarer secret figure based on Mitsuhiro Arita’s classic early Pikachu artwork, continuing the anniversary’s mix of new interpretations and references to the franchise’s beginnings.
The new plush charm collection will launch on September 16 exclusively through Pokémon’s official retail channels in mainland China, priced at 79 yuan (approx. $12 USD/£9 GBP).
All 30 Pikachu designs are being offered as individual plush charms rather than a blind-box assortment, allowing fans to choose their favorite expression without having to rely on a random pull.
