Persona Reveals Huge New 30th Anniversary CD and Cassette Soundtrack Collection
Image by Charlotte DavisAtlus and iam8bit have announced a new physical soundtrack collection spanning the first five mainline Persona games, bringing music from across the series to CD and cassette as its 30th anniversary celebrations continue.
The release also arrives alongside Persona 5’s own 10th anniversary, with iam8bit reissuing both the original game’s six-record Deluxe Edition soundtrack and the three-record Persona 5 Royal soundtrack.
Persona officially turned 30 on September 20, 2026, three decades after the original game launched for PlayStation in Japan, with its music becoming an increasingly important part of the series as it developed across subsequent entries.
One recent anniversary reveal introduced new artwork imagining Shadow versions of the protagonists from across the Persona series, giving several of the franchise’s heroes darker counterparts of their own.
HINEMOS has also created a five-bottle Persona-inspired sake collection as part of the celebrations, bringing the series into a very different type of official collaboration.
GRAPHT has contributed to the anniversary with a pair of specially tuned gaming earphones, adding another piece of practical merchandise to the growing 30th anniversary lineup.
iam8bit has worked with Atlus on Persona soundtrack releases for several years, including the huge 15-disc Persona 25th Anniversary Deluxe Vinyl Box Set that brought together music from Persona through Persona 5.
Its latest collection gives fans two considerably more compact ways to revisit that music, with separate CD and cassette releases covering Revelations: Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, Persona 3, Persona 4 and Persona 5.
The CD range begins with a two-disc Persona 1 & 2 release containing more than 60 tracks, followed by two-disc collections for Persona 3 and Persona 4 with more than 50 songs each.
Persona 5 receives the largest individual CD release with three discs and more than 100 tracks, including music such as “Life Will Change,” “Last Surprise” and “The Whims of Fate”.
Each CD set comes in custom Digipak packaging using artwork by Drew Wise adapted from iam8bit’s earlier Persona vinyl releases.
Fans who want the entire CD collection can also pick up the “Persona Soundtrack Deluxe CD Bundle,” which combines all four releases inside an exclusive slipcase and includes more than 200 tracks in total.
The cassette collection follows the same journey through the series, but uses smaller selections chosen by the Atlus Sound Team specifically for the format.
Persona 1 & 2 Essentials contains more than 40 tracks, while Persona 3 and Persona 4 each receive collections with more than 30 songs, and Persona 5 includes more than 25.
These mark the first cassette releases for the featured Persona soundtracks, with all four also available together as the “Persona Soundtrack Essentials Deluxe Cassette Bundle”.

Persona 5’s 10th anniversary is also being marked with a re-release of the “Persona 5 Vinyl Soundtrack – The Deluxe Edition 6xLP Reissue,” which collects the complete soundtrack across six black LPs.
The set contains 109 tracks and brings back Drew Wise’s original artwork and character-themed inner sleeves, with the re-release being produced in limited quantities.
The “Persona 5 Royal 3xLP Vinyl Soundtrack” is also being re-pressed, bringing back its three red, Black Ice, and Gold Nugget records alongside the interactive die-cut jacket and gold-foil inner sleeves.
Pre-orders for the new Persona CD and cassette releases are now open directly through iam8bit and are scheduled to close on October 19, with shipping currently planned for the first quarter of 2027.
The “Persona 5 Vinyl Soundtrack – The Deluxe Edition 6xLP Reissue” is priced at $149.99 and is scheduled to begin shipping during the fourth quarter of 2026, while the “Persona 5 Royal 3xLP Vinyl Soundtrack” is currently available for $75.
