Orders open for American vintage inspired Gundam T-shirt collection
The Gundam inspired fashion brand STRICT-G has launched a new collection of shirts based on American vintage fashion.
The new “Mobile Suit Gundam Used Style T-Shirts” collection blends American-style casual clothing with the iconic designs of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series.
Mobile Suit Gundam is a seminal anime series that launched the Gundam franchise and is known for its complex narratives, realistic mecha designs, and exploration of themes like war, humanity, and technological advancement.
STRICT-G is BANDAI’s premium apparel brand that translates the worlds of the Gundam series into stylish, wearable fashion.
The brand has previously released “sukajan” style jackets and regionally inspired merchandise featuring Gundam designs.
The “STRICT-G.Fab” sub-brand specifically focuses on American style casual wear with a rugged, vintage sensibility, offering a unique aesthetic that appeals to adult fans who appreciate both Gundam and quality clothing.
This new “used style” T-shirt collection is designed to evoke a vintage feel.
The T-shirts feature a faded print and a specialized wash process that gives them a “worn-in feel” that mimics the look of well-loved, aged clothing.
Made from 100% cotton, the shirts utilize open-end yarn, which provides a “voluminous texture and a unique crisp feel.”
Combined with a substantial 6 ounce fabric, these are heavy-weight T-shirts that embody an “American feel,” associated with durability and a classic T-shirt silhouette.
The collection highlights three of the most recognizable Mobile Suits from the original Mobile Suit Gundam series:
- Gundam:
- The titular RX-78-2 Gundam, piloted by Amuro Ray, an emblem of heroism and technological prowess.
- Guncannon:
- The artillery-focused RX-77-2 Guncannon, known for its shoulder-mounted cannons.
- Guntank:
- The tank-like RX-75 Guntank, a heavily armored long-range support unit.
Available in sizes M to XXL, these T-shirts offer a range of fits for consumers.
For those who prefer to purchase in person, the “STRICT-G Fab Mobile Suit Gundam Used Style T-Shirts” can be purchased at physical STRICT-G stores in Japan.

- STRICT-G Tokyo Solamachi store (Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi)
- STRICT-G NEOPASA Shizuoka (downbound) store

For those unable to reach any of the STRICT-G stores, online pre-orders on Premium Bandai’s STRICT-G Online Store will run until June 29th, 23:00 JST, with shirts scheduled to ship in July 2025.
Each T-shirt is priced at 6,380 yen (approx. $43.94 USD / £32.53 GBP).
The t-shirts are limited edition and online sales may end early if the pre-set production number is reached.
