One Piece live-action casts non-binary actor Cole Escola as Bon Clay for Season 3

A major new casting has been announced for the third season of Netflix’s live-action One Piece series.
Actor Cole Escola has officially been cast in the fan-favorite role of Bon Clay (also known as Mr. 2).

Ian Stokes and Joe Tracz will serve as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers for the third season.

This Season 3 casting news arrives just as production on the show’s second season, One Piece: Into the Grand Line, has officially wrapped.

The second season will adapt the manga’s story from the Loguetown arc up to the Drum Island arc.

Joe Tracz (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) joins as a writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner for Season 2, working alongside Matt Owens.
The first season of One Piece premiered in August 2023 and went on to win two Children’s & Family Emmy Awards.

The new season will introduce a massive slate of new characters from the manga.

The highly anticipated second season, One Piece: Into the Grand Line, is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on March 10, 2026.

This is one of several major announcements for the One Piece franchise recently.
It was also revealed that the long-running One Piece anime will be shifting to a new seasonal, 26-episode-per-year format, and will enter a brief hiatus before premiering the “Elbaf Arc” in April 2026.

In the manga world, a promotional video for the upcoming Volume 113, releasing on November 4, confirmed that veteran voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda will play Saint Shamrock, the twin brother of Shanks.
