Nintendo Direct Scheduled for June 9, Followed by Nintendo Treehouse: Live!

Nintendo has officially confirmed that a new Nintendo Direct presentation will take place on June 9, 2026.

The broadcast is scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM PT or 10:00 AM ET and will run for approximately 50 minutes.

This presentation will focus on software updates for both the Nintendo Switch and its successor, the Switch 2, with a specific emphasis on titles releasing in the second half of 2026.

Immediately following the main event, a Nintendo Treehouse: Live! segment will air for roughly 95 minutes to provide deep dives into gameplay for selected titles.

Fans can view the livestream on Nintendo’s official YouTube channels and their primary website.

This announcement follows significant anticipation as it marks the first major general Direct since September 2025.

Industry rumors suggest the event may include news regarding a potential remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time to coincide with the franchise’s 40th anniversary.

Other speculated appearances include updates on Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave and upcoming Switch 2 exclusives like Star Fox and Rhythm Heaven Groove.

The timing of the event aligns with the one year anniversary of the Switch 2, which has reportedly sold nearly 20 million units since its launch.
