NieR celebrates 15th Anniversary with first ever large-scale exhibition

The NieR franchise will celebrate its 15th anniversary with “NieR 15th Anniversary EXHIBITION – Unerasable Record”, the series’ first large-scale exhibition.
This event, set to take place in Tokyo, will provide an insight into the narrative and history of titles including NieR Replicant/Gestalt, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, NieR:Automata, and NieR Re[in]carnation.

The NieR series, developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix, is known for its unique blend of action role-playing gameplay, philosophical storytelling, and melancholic soundtracks.
Its intricate narratives often explore themes of humanity, existence, and artificial intelligence, earning it a dedicated global fanbase.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore original planning documents from the series’ inception, providing a look at its developmental roots.
The exhibition will also feature life-sized replicas of weapons seen in the games, alongside newly created life-sized figures, including “Mama” from NieR Re[in]carnation.

A significant visual element from the series, the symbolic “flower”, will also be on display.
In addition to game-specific exhibits, the event will include a display of costumes from “Stage Play YorHa,” a theatrical production that is part of the NieR universe.

These costume displays are scheduled for a mid-exhibition rotation, offering different items for visitors depending on their visit date.
The exhibition incorporates various visual and artistic presentations to draw visitors deeper into the distinct world of the NieR series.

Entry to the exhibition requires timed tickets for all dates. If specific time slots are not fully booked, same-day tickets may be available for purchase at the venue.
Admission tickets are priced at 2,500 yen (approx. $17.29 / £12.67 GBP). for general admission, with advance tickets available for 2,200 yen (approx. $15.22 / £11.15 GBP).
An optional limited-edition merchandise voucher can be purchased for 5,500 yen (approx. $38.05 / £27.87 GBP).
This voucher provides a “Key Visual Art Stand” and must be combined with an admission ticket for entry.

All visitors will receive a random clear card as an admission privilege.

The “NieR 15th Anniversary EXHIBITION – Unerasable Record” will be held at Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City from August 9th to August 31st.
The exhibition will be divided into two periods: an early display from August 9th to August 19th, and a later display from August 20th to August 31st, featuring rotated content.

Operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with final entry permitted 30 minutes before closing.
Advance tickets for timed entry went on sale on July 4th via ePlus, with general admission tickets set to become available on August 9th.
