New Pokémon 30th Anniversary Figure Sets Feature Every Starter Trio from Kanto to Paldea

Takara Tomy has announced a new series of collectible figure sets celebrating the upcoming 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise.
The “Pokémon 30th Anniversary Moncolle Journey’s Beginning Trio Set” collection features nine different sets, each representing a specific region from the long-running video game series.

Takara Tomy also recently announced the re-release of 1997’s life-size Pikachu plush, further expanding the lineup of commemorative merchandise available to fans.

The new figure sets are part of the “Moncolle” (Monster Collection) brand, which is Takara Tomy’s flagship line of high-quality, accurately scaled Pokémon figures.
For this special anniversary project, the manufacturer has focused on the concept of the “Journey’s Beginning.”

Each set contains the three “Starter Pokémon” that players choose at the start of their adventure in that specific region.

The collection spans the entire history of the main series games, starting from the original Red and Green titles set in the Kanto region, all the way to the recent Scarlet and Violet titles set in the Paldea region.
The packaging has been designed specifically for this anniversary event.

Each box features background art and design elements that reflect the atmosphere of the respective region, allowing collectors to display the figures inside the box without needing to open them.

This creates a “museum-like” quality that chronicles the visual evolution of the series over the last three decades.
