New Persona 3 Reload art book to feature never-before-seen art
Fans of “Persona 3 Reload” can now look forward to a new art book detailing the visual development of the game.
“Persona 3 Reload” is a 2024 remake of the original “Persona 3,” which was initially released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2.
It is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and will soon be available on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Developed and published by Atlus, a Japanese video game developer known for its “Megami Tensei” and “Persona” franchises, “Reload” rebuilds the game from the ground up with modern graphics, quality-of-life improvements, and updated voice acting.
It tells the story of a high school student protagonist who transfers to Gekkoukan High School and soon discovers a hidden “Dark Hour” between one day and the next.
He and his newfound allies, the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (SEES), must battle Shadows and uncover the mysteries of Tartarus, a colossal tower that emerges during this secret hour.
The “Persona 3 Reload Official Art Book” promises an extensive collection of visual materials that went into the creation of both the main game and its expansion, “Episode Aegis.”
“Episode Aegis” is a remake of “The Answer,” an epilogue chapter originally included in “Persona 3 FES” (a re-release of the original game).
This expansion continues the story after the main game’s conclusion, focusing on the android character Aigis as she grapples with the aftermath of events and explores the “Abyss of Time.”
The 320-page, A4-sized art book, presented in full color with left-hand opening, will feature a wide variety of illustrations.
This includes character designs, user interface (UI) elements, environmental setting art, and early conceptual sketches.
A particular highlight for fans will be the inclusion of never-before-seen drawings and insightful comments from the creators, offering a rare glimpse into the development process and artistic decisions behind the game’s distinct aesthetic.
The standard edition of the “Persona 3 Reload Official Art Book” is priced at 3,850 yen (approx. $22 USD / £17 GBP).
It will be available to purchase from book stores, including Amazon and it will also be available digitally through various e-book stores, including BOOK☆WALKER.
For collectors, an ebten DX pack has been announced.
ebten is a Japanese online retailer specializing in limited edition video game merchandise.
The ebten DX pack, priced at 6,270 yen (approx. $42 USD / £32 GBP), will include the “Persona 3 Reload Official Art Book” along with an exclusive B2 tapestry.
This tapestry will feature the newly drawn illustration used as the cover art for the art book itself.
The art book is currently expected to release on November 13th, 2025.
