New official add-on adds Poppy Playtime's iconic characters to Minecraft

The terrifying and popular characters of the hit horror game series, Poppy Playtime, have officially invaded the blocky world of Minecraft.

A new, official add-on titled “Huggy & Friends” has been released, which brings a host of characters and new gameplay mechanics from the indie horror sensation to the globally popular sandbox game.

The new add-on is a partnership between Spark Universe and Mob Entertainment, the original creators of Poppy Playtime.

It is designed to fuse the elements of horror, progression, and survival with the free-form crafting and exploration of Minecraft.

The pack features a lineup of iconic characters from the Poppy Playtime series, including Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs, CatNap, DogDay, and Dr. Harley Sawyer.

Each of these characters has its own unique personality and behavior patterns, which are designed to bring a new and unique sense of tension to the game.

A major new gameplay feature has also been added.

By defeating the various Poppy Playtime monsters, players can acquire their own “GrabPack Hand.”

This iconic tool from the horror series unlocks a variety of new abilities for the player, including grappling, a shock attack, and a combustion attack, allowing for a more diverse range of playstyles.

Not all of the new characters are hostile.

The add-on also introduces the “Smiling Critters” as friendly companions who will fight alongside the player and grant them special, beneficial effects.

The “Huggy & Friends Add-On” is available now in the Minecraft Marketplace and it is priced at 990 Minecoins and a trailer is now available to watch:
