New Hello Kitty Gashapon mini figures are inspired by retro toy packaging designs

A new line of capsule toys has been released by Bandai, featuring the iconic Sanrio character Hello Kitty and her pet, Charmmykitty.
The new “HELLO KITTY Package Miniature Collection” is part of Bandai’s “Gashapon” series, which is a popular style of collectible toy sold in randomized capsules from vending machines.

This new collection has a unique and clever, “meta” design, as each of the keychains is a miniature replica of a real, clear “blister pack” style of toy packaging, complete with a mini figure inside.

The keychains are designed to look exactly like a miniature version of a real product that you would find hanging on a store shelf.
The lineup features a total of six different designs for fans to collect, including five different, themed versions of Hello Kitty and one of Charmmykitty.
The six different figures in the collection are:
- Hello Kitty (Gyaru ver.)

- Hello Kitty (Angel ver.)

- Hello Kitty (Suntanned ver.)

- Hello Kitty (Quilt ver.)

- Hello Kitty (Baby ver.)

- Charmmykitty

Each of the keychains comes with a ball chain, so they can be easily attached to a bag or a pouch.
The “HELLO KITTY Package Miniature Collection” is priced at ¥400 per attempt from a Gashapon machine.
The new collection is now available in Gashapon machines in Bandai operated stores and other hobby goods locations across Japan.
