Extended reality developer Tyffon has announced a new attraction based on the hit MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV.

“Final Fantasy XIV: Chocobo Race VR” will allow fans to step directly into the digital world of Eorzea and take control of one of the franchise’s most iconic companions.

The experience will be available at Tyffonium venues in Tokyo and Osaka, which specialize in blending cutting-edge VR technology with elaborate spatial design to offer highly detailed, immersive experiences.

Developed jointly with both Kansai Television and Square Enix, this project marks the first time players can experience elements of the online game through virtual reality.

Final Fantasy XIV is a highly successful multiplayer title where millions of adventurers explore a sprawling fantasy realm.

The chocobo is a staple avian creature within the franchise, recognizable by its yellow feathers and utilized by players as a reliable mount.

Within the game, players can raise their own birds to participate in competitive races at the Manderville Gold Saucer amusement park.

This new interactive physical experience puts attendees directly in the saddle, simulating the intense speed and momentum of a high-stakes race.

The “Final Fantasy XIV: Chocobo Race VR” attraction is officially scheduled to open to the public in October 2026 at Tyffonium branches in Odaiba and Shinjuku.
