New figure of SAMURAI SHODOWN’s Nakoruru releases this December

The upcoming release of a 1/7 scale figure of Nakoruru, one of the most popular characters from the fighting game SAMURAI SHODOWN, has been announced.
PROOF, a company specializing in collectible figures, is set to release the figure later this year.

SAMURAI SHODOWN (2019) is the latest main installment in SNK’s long-running Samurai Shodown (know as Samurai Spirits in Japan) fighting game series.
First launched in 1993, the franchise is celebrated for its unique focus on weapon-based combat, precise timing, and the emphasis on single, devastating blows rather than lengthy combos.

The series is set in feudal Japan and features a cast of unique and often supernatural warriors, each with their own distinct fighting styles and backstories.
The 2019 iteration brought the series into the modern era with stunning 3D graphics while retaining the classic 2D fighting mechanics that fans adore.

Nakoruru is an iconic character who has been a staple of the Samurai Shodown series since its inception.
She is a Kamui warrior, a protector of nature from the Ainu people, who fights with her treasured sword, the Chichi-ushi, and is famously accompanied by her loyal hawk companion, Mamahaha.

Her gentle demeanor contrasts sharply with her swift and precise attacks, often incorporating aerial maneuvers with Mamahaha’s aid.
Nakoruru’s deep connection to nature and her unwavering commitment to protecting it have made her a fan favorite and a central figure in the series’ lore.
The PROOF figure captures Nakoruru in a dynamic pose, wielding her treasured Chichi-ushi sword.

The statue has been developed with a “realistic design” and “vivid coloring” in mind to faithfully recreate her based on her apperance in SAMURAI SHODOWN (2019).

Standing at approximately 295mm tall (at 1/7 scale), the figure is made from PVC (non-phthalate) and ABS.
A highlight of this collectible is the inclusion of Mamahaha, Nakoruru’s hawk, depicted with her wings dynamically spread.

The statue is currently scheduled for release in December 2025 and will be priced at 29,700 yen (approx. $208 USD / £153 GBP).
