Netflix’s live-action One Piece Season 2 sets official release date for March 2026

A major announcement has been made for the globally popular live-action One Piece series: Season 2 is officially scheduled to set sail on Tuesday, the 10th of March, 2026.
The reveal confirms the return of the massively successful Netflix adaptation, which brought Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga to life and became a worldwide cultural phenomenon in 2023.

The first season was a huge critical and commercial success, praised for its faithful yet fresh take on the “East Blue” saga and the perfect casting of the core Straw Hat crew.

This new season is one of the most anticipated television events of the coming year.
It is expected to pick up where the first season left off, with Luffy and his crew beginning their perilous journey into the Grand Line.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the introduction of new, iconic characters who are set to make their debut, most notably the crew’s doctor, Tony Tony Chopper, as the story heads toward the beloved “Alabasta” saga.

This major live-action news was part of a massive day of announcements for the One Piece franchise.
It was also revealed that the TV anime will be entering a new era with the start of the long-awaited “Elbaf Arc” in April 2026.

In a significant production shift, the anime will be moving to a new seasonal-style schedule, broadcasting a maximum of 26 episodes per year.
This change is being implemented to allow for a one-to-one adaptation (one manga chapter per anime episode), a move that has been celebrated by fans.

The TV anime will first enter a “recharge period,” or hiatus, from January to March 2026, which will lead directly into the back-to-back releases of the live-action Season 2 in March and the new “Elbaf Arc” in April.
