Monster Hunter orchestra concerts to be held across Japan this summer

A new series of Monster Hunter orchestra concerts will take place in Japan, following the resounding success of last year’s 20th anniversary concert.
The “Hunting Music Festival” concerts will be dedicated to the iconic music of the “Monster Hunter” video game series and will be held in four major Japanese cities: Osaka, Fukuoka, Tokyo, and Sapporo.

These concerts promise to deliver unforgettable orchestral performances, including new musical pieces from “Monster Hunter Wilds” alongside a rich selection of beloved tracks from the series’ extensive history.
The “Monster Hunter” franchise, developed and published by Capcom, has gained millions of fans worldwide since its launch in 2004.
Known for its immersive worlds, challenging monster encounters, and rewarding gameplay loop, the series’ music complements its thrilling hunts.

Building on the format of previous years, the Tokyo performance of the “Hunting Music Festival 2025” will once again feature two shows in a single day: a matinee and an evening performance.
The program for these two Tokyo performances will be slightly different, ensuring a unique experience for attendees who see both shows.

Each of the concerts in Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo will also feature some variation to the setlist, rewarding for fans who attend multiple dates.
The conducting duties for the Osaka, Tokyo, and Sapporo performances will be helmed by Hirofumi Kurita, a familiar figure to fans of the “Hunting Music Festival”.

The Fukuoka performance will be led by the talented Katsuhiro Ida and each city will also feature a local orchestra.

The Osaka performance will be delivered by the Osaka Symphony Orchestra, the Fukuoka performance by the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo performances by the prestigious Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Sapporo performance will feature the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra.

A major highlight of this year’s “Hunting Music Festival” is the inclusion of new musical compositions from the recently released “Monster Hunter Wilds”.

This will provide fans with a first opportunity to listen to orchestral performances of the music that accompanies the new game’s environments and challenges.
Alongside these new tracks, the festival will also feature a wide array of popular and memorable songs from throughout the “Monster Hunter” series’ extensive catalog, ensuring a nostalgic and thrilling journey through the franchise’s musical history.
For eager fans looking to secure their tickets, an advance ticket lottery will be held.

The pre-sale lottery will commence at 3:00 PM JST on May 22nd, 2025, for each of the four performances.
