SEGA Brings Back the Sanic Meme With a New One-Day-Only Shirt Collection

SEGA has officially opened orders for a limited edition line of T-shirts featuring the legendary “Sanic” internet meme, though fans will need to be as fast as the Blue Blur to order them, as they’ll only be available for one day.
The “Sanic T-shirt Collection” features three different shirt designs showcasing intentionally crudely drawn versions of the series’ most famous characters, transforming Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow into Sanic the Hedgehog, Knackles the Echidna, and Shedew, respectively.

The Sonic the Hedgehog series has been a hit with fans since its debut 35 years ago, thanks to its high-speed platforming gameplay and sleek character designs, and the “Sanic” meme has become a beloved part of the community’s culture for its humorous subversion of that aesthetic.

Each unisex adult shirt is crafted from a comfortable blend of cotton and polyester and features a unique “Sanic Collection” logo printed on the left sleeve.

Sizing for the collection ranges from small through 3XL, with small, medium, and large sizes priced at $32.00.
2XL shirts are available for $34.00, while a 3XL option is priced at $36.00.
Let’s take a look at each shirt in more detail!
- Sanic Adventure Tee
- Price: $32.00 – $36.00

This athletic heather grey shirt features printed artwork of “Sanic the Hegehog” based on character art from the first Sonic Adventure game.

- Sanic & Shedew Adventure Tee
- Price: $32.00 – $36.00

Rendered in dark grey heather, this design highlights the rivalry between Sanic and his dark counterpart, Shedew.

- Sanic & Knackles Tee
- Price: $32.00 – $36.00

This black t-shirt features a front graphic of Sanic and Knackles with a logo that playfully mimics the classic Sonic & Knuckles branding.

While the designs are part of a lighthearted April Fools’ Day joke, the shirts are legitimate physical products available for purchase.
The “Sanic T-shirt Collection” is being sold exclusively through the official Sega online storefront on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

These items are made-to-order and will be printed and shipped immediately following the conclusion of the event.
Fans only have until the end of the day to secure these shirts before they are removed from the store permanently.
