Mega Starmie Leads Pokémon Center’s New Legends: Z-A Plush Collection
Pokémon Center Online is expanding its growing Pokémon Legends: Z-A merchandise lineup with a brand-new Mega Starmie plush, turning one of the game’s most talked-about Mega Evolutions into an official collectible.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A continued the long-running Pokémon RPG series with a new adventure centered around Lumiose City, while also introducing brand-new Mega Evolutions that quickly became fan favorites thanks to their striking new appearances.
Mega Starmie made its debut in Pokémon Legends: Z-A as the Mega Evolved form of the classic Water- and Psychic-type Pokémon, immediately attracting attention from fans thanks to its bizarre humanoid appearance and unforgettable running animation.
The officially licensed plush, priced at ¥5,500 (approx. $38 USD / £28 GBP), faithfully recreates Mega Starmie’s unusual design, allowing fans to add one of the franchise’s strangest recent Pokémon forms to their collection.
According to the official Pokédex, Mega Starmie remains classified as a “Mysterious Pokémon,” with an entry that notes its movements have become increasingly human-like, leaving it unclear whether it is attempting to communicate with people or even replace them.
The Pokémon’s growing popularity was further highlighted earlier this year when the official international Pokémon Trading Card Game YouTube channel uploaded a surreal video showing Mega Starmie doing nothing but continuously running, helping cement its reputation as one of the franchise’s most unusual new creations.
Mega Starmie will be joined by three additional Mega Evolution plushes launching on the same day.
The Mega Greninja plush, priced at ¥5,500 (approx. $38 USD / £28 GBP), recreates the newly introduced Mega Evolution that also makes its debut in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
The Mega Zeraora plush, priced at ¥6,050 (approx. $42 USD / £31 GBP), brings the Mythical Pokémon’s new Mega Evolution to life following its introduction in the paid Mega Dimension DLC.
The Mega Lucario Z plush, priced at ¥6,050 (approx. $42 USD / £31 GBP), is also based on the Mega Dimension DLC and showcases another brand-new Mega Evolution introduced through the expansion.
All four plushes will be available through Pokémon Center Online beginning July 16, 2026, with sales starting at 10:00 AM JST.
