McDonald’s Launches New Blue Lock Collab Featuring Exclusive Menu, Manga and Merch
Image by James RichardsonBlue Lock is taking over McDonald’s with a new official collaboration built around themed food, exclusive mini-mangas and limited merchandise inspired by Blue Lock Episode Nagi.
Launching across McDonald’s France, the campaign puts Seishiro Nagi at the center of a new menu featuring three Nagi Bao Burgers alongside a blue passion fruit Sprite, matcha desserts and specially designed packaging.

Blue Lock Episode Nagi is the spin-off of Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura’s hugely popular soccer manga, retelling parts of the story from the perspective of naturally gifted striker Seishiro Nagi and expanding on his relationship with Reo Mikage.

The wider Blue Lock franchise has become especially successful in France, with 5.5 million manga volumes sold in the country since the first French volume arrived in June 2021, including 1.5 million copies during 2025 alone.

Blue Lock has also crossed into fast food before, with Wendy’s First Kitchen in Japan launching its own collaboration in 2025 featuring character-themed food, original artwork and exclusive merchandise.

More recently, the series returned to Tokyo JOYPOLIS for its third major collaboration during summer 2026, combining themed attractions with food, merchandise and a special stage show.

McDonald’s new campaign takes a different approach by creating an entire Blue Lock Episode Nagi menu, with its main food item available in beef, chicken and fish versions.
Each Nagi Bao Burger uses a soft white bao-inspired bun topped with black sesame seeds, with cheddar, carrots, lettuce, cabbage and an umami-style soy sauce completing the filling.
Let’s take a look at the full collaboration menu!

The Blue Lock Episode Nagi menu can be ordered in Best Of, Maxi Best Of and Golden Ligue 1 McDonald’s formats, while the burgers, drink and desserts can also be ordered separately.

Food is only one part of the collaboration, with McDonald’s and French manga publisher Pika Édition also creating five exclusive 32-page Blue Lock Episode Nagi mini-mangas specifically for the campaign.

A total of 2.5 million copies are being produced, with a different volume released each week and each story sending Blue Lock’s strikers to one of five French cities: Paris, Marseille, Rennes, Lille and Monaco.
Each mini-manga contains 16 pages of story followed by between four and six pages of storyboards and around 10 to 12 pages showing how it was created.

The stories also connect Blue Lock Episode Nagi with Ligue 1 McDonald’s through fictional players, extending the soccer theme beyond simply placing the manga artwork on the restaurant packaging.
One randomly selected mini-manga can be added to a Blue Lock Episode Nagi menu for €1.25 (approximately $1.40 / £1.10), with the five volumes released progressively throughout the campaign.

Fans can also use McDo+ loyalty points to claim two exclusive Blue Lock Episode Nagi items, with a keychain available for 25 points and a reusable bottle requiring 100 points.
Participating restaurants are also using Blue Lock Episode Nagi-themed packaging and decorations, while two dedicated adverts titled “Le burger parfait” and “La commande ultime” extend the manga-inspired visuals into the wider promotional campaign.
The McDonald’s x Blue Lock Episode Nagi collaboration begins across France on September 22 and is scheduled to remain available until October 26, 2026, with the loyalty merchandise being added through McDo+ from September 23.
